The Test Location Form is to give the diabetic a visual representation of his finger testing schedule. The number of tests on each finger for the past 30 days is displayed on the right side of the Form. The idea is to balance the amount of testing on each finger.

There are two ways of using the Testing Location Form: Random Finger Selection and Sequential Finger Selection. Random selection is where the user selects a Test location as he sees fit. There is no set order. The Sequential selection is a bit more complicated.

Certain people may have circulation problems, arthiritis, missing fingers, or some other reason that a person cannot use a certain finger or a certain testing location for the testing of blood glucose. This is where Sequential testing shows its strength. The user determines which fingers cannot be tested. The software will then sequentially use each of the remaining locations for BG testing. The order of testing will be per the listing on the right side of the form The next testing site will be the one directly below the last testing site.

A menu selection will switch from the Random to Sequential testing modes. To use the Sequential mode, be sure the menu selection displays "Sequential Testing Enabled". A line of text located near the top right of the form will state whether Sequential Testing is Enabled or Disabled. A lineof text located on the top left of the form will display which finger was tested last.

To delete a finger from the testing schedule, just put the mouse cursor on the respective finger, and right click the mouse. The respective finger label located on the right side of the Form will no longer be visible. There are a total of twelve areas to test, ten fingers, left forearm, and right forearm. As time goes and diabetes gets harder to control, you will no doubt be testing more. The result is your fingers may become tender and sore from all those lancet pricks. So now you have to give that finger a vacation from testing for a period of time. Just right click the particular finger, and it will be removed from the testing schedule. After a period of time, and the finger is recuperated to some degree, just right click the finger location, and it will be readded to the testing schedule. Finger locations can be added or subtracted at any time by just right clicking the finger location. That is the beauty of Sequential Testing, its flexibility and simplicity. The User can jump from Random Testing to Sequential Testing any time desired. The system is very flexible.
