Pain is like a four letter word to those who endure it each day of their lives. Different users of Health Software will look at the Pain module differently. It is very subjective since we all look at pain differently.

You can create a different database for each different type of pain you experience. The best way to name a database is to correlate the name with the type of pain you experience. Example - If you experience left wrist pain, then name the database LeftWrist.

To create a database, press the New DB button and enter the name of the database in the enclosed form. To add a pain record to the database, press the New Record button. The data input boxes will be located at the bottom of the grid. Adjust the Date and Time to suit your time frame. The Slider located to the right of the Time Box is your Pain Level indicator. The Slider scale has a range of 1 to 100. A pain level of 1 would represent almost no pain, while a level of 100 represents an extreme level of pain. Just move the slider indicator to the left or right to replicate your level of pain. The level you select is very subjective. One moment you may conclude the pain level should be 85, and five minutes later you may have a 55 pain level. Each person will look at this pain module differently.

It is a good idea to describe your pain level selection in the Comments Box. This will help your understand later why your chose the pain level at any given time.

To add the record to the database, press the Enter Data into DB button. To view the graph of another pain type, press the Open DB button, then select from the List displayed. Once you click on the respective database, the data will be displayed in the grid and graph.

The Pain Duration is a bit difficult to explain clearly since pain does not just stop. Pain ends when medication or some means to subdue or you don't feel it anymore. Pain Duration is the difference between the date/time when the pain started and the date/time when the pain ended.

Pain can last five minutes or for days on end. When you enter the date/time when a pain starts, the date/time for the pain end is automatically the same. When your pain actually ends, the user has to put the pain module in the Edit mode. To do this, click the left mouse on the particular pain entry, then select "Edit" menu selection and the data will be shown to be revised. Adjust the Date and Time under the Date End and Time End columns for when the pain ended. Press the "Enter Data into DB" button to save the data.

The pain module is the most user flexible of the entire Health software package.

The rest of the pain module attributes is the same as other modules of the Health Software package, and require no further explanation.
